"Our Royal Guests"

This one of a kind mixed media collage has been created by re-purposing an original vintage book on the British Royal Family, titled "Our Royal Guests", the spine of this book is incorporated into the bottom of the artwork.

The original hardback book cover forms the base for this original piece, featuring images of young Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, embellished with shells as masks, providing them with the anonymity that they never had the freedom to enjoy as a couple.

Sections of the paper covered background have been peeled away with the images added, to create a distressed vintage artwork. The reverse of the book cover is a maroon colored vinyl.
