Mixed media provides the opportunity for her to explore, layer and create with many different mediums to create works that feature dimension, texture and contrasts.
As a collector, many found objects in Julie’s extensive collection are used in her works, often providing inspiration for an initial concept with a personal nostalgic content.
Inspiration also comes from Julie’s travels, nature and mid-twentieth century images.
